Kindergarten (K1 a K5)

The first step, in a safe and natural environment

The Early Childhood level at The Global School is much more than a kindergarten: it is the space where children begin their school journey in a nurturing, stimulating environment in close contact with nature.

We work with small groups and a strong personalized approach, allowing us to get to know each child in depth and respect their pace, interests, and curiosity. Our pedagogical proposals draw inspiration from contemporary approaches that understand the child as the protagonist of their own learning, the teacher as a guide, and the environment as a “third teacher” that invites exploration, discovery, and learning.

Classrooms and stages of development

We have 5 rooms, starting from the first year of life, each designed according to the child’s developmental stage:

K1 Wonderers (AGE 1)

Very small groups (maximum 10 students), focused on emotional bonding and individualized attention.

K2 Explorers
(AGE 2)

First socialization experiences, guided play, and sensory exploration.

K3 Adventurers
(AGE 3)

Active exploration, introduction to projects, and first experiences with screen-free robotics.

K4
Creators
(AGE 4)

Development of creativity, more complex workshops, and deepening of scientific curiosity.

K5 Innovators (AGE 5)

Compulsory extended day, with morning sessions in Spanish and the entire afternoon in English, bridging to the bilingual primary program.

Some of the offerings include:

Workshops may run for the full year or for shorter periods, renewed based on the children’s interests.

Learning in nature

The natural environment is an essential part of our program. We have ample green spaces, our own school garden, and access to Club San Carlos facilities.

From K2, children leave rain boots and comfortable footwear at school, allowing them to head outside regardless of the weather. It is an everyday sight: little boots lined up, ready for a new adventure.

We prioritize outdoor time: reading under the trees, working in the garden, playing on the sports field, or taking part in open-air activities. We also visit the club library regularly, fostering an early connection with reading and research.

Nutrition and well-being

We promote healthy habits from the earliest years. The school provides healthy snacks. Working in the garden allows children to learn about the origin of food, take part in harvesting, and develop a more mindful relationship with what they eat.

For lunch, families may choose to:

Technology with purpose

We incorporate technology from a pedagogical perspective that is appropriate for each age group.

From K3, students take part in a screen-free program through Be Tech.

Admissions and settling-in process

The enrollment of each family is a careful and gradual process. It includes:
